Greetings Home Brewers!
Welcome to the Southern Vermont Winter Home Brew Festival. This page is intended to give you, the home brewers, some additional information on our unique event. This is the 3rd year for this event and we have put a ton of effort in ensuring the best possible experience for both the Home Brewers and Attendees. Below you will find some additional information and some FAQ's. Thanks for taking the time to check out this page and we hope you will be a part of this event!
So what is the Southern Vermont Wings and Home Brew Festival?
We are a Top 10 Winter Event for 2018-2019! Named by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce!
Our event is a true celebration of two things we all love, Wings and Home Brewed elixirs. Also, it is a chance to get out and celebrate during a time of the year that is typically cold and dreary. Our team has put together a wonderful event that will be enjoyed by all and here is some of the details.
We will be holding the Festival on Saturday, March 9 from noon to 4pm in Bennington, VT. Our event is super unique compared to other homebrew festivals. Instead of bringing 5 gallons of one style of beer, we are allowing each home brewer to bring multiple styles of Beer, Cider, Mead, Braggot, and Wine. Additionally, each home brewer can bring up to 15 gallons total of Home Brewed beverages.
The thought is, all of you brew many fantastic styles so why limit what you bring to one? Many times people will not sample your goods because they don't care for the style you brought. Now you have the chance to showcase multiple styles and get feedback from the attendees. The judging will be based on your overall goods (don't worry, if you only want to bring one style that is totally fine too!) and the winner will be crowned, "Best Home Brewery"!
VIP HOUR!
We will once again have the VIP hour from noon to 1pm. This will give attendees the opportunity to have first access to the Wings and Home Brewed beverages. On the Home Brewer side, it is an opportunity to bring any special home brews that you have limited quantities of. We will have a unique prize for just the VIP Hour. When you submit what you are bringing you will be asked if you would like to offer a beer for the VIP Hour.
